Debut Release:

Love Lead

Love lead is a collaboration between Breeze, a DJ and producer, with Nadiyah and Japa from Hut23. The track is the first track coming out on Resonance Recordings, a new label by Breeze sharing music that resonates physically as bass but also on a deeper level spiritually.

Hut23 are facilitators of synergistic healing and transformational spaces primarily held by Nadiyah and Japa working through sound, vibration, healing modalities, and therapeutic practices. Music is Medicine; and is admittedly a powerful multidisciplinary tool of facilitation and energetic healing.

The Hut23 energy gives shelter and creates a safe container for different collaborators to share their vibe and hone their gifts from a higher consciousness.

Breeze has been producing Jungle and Drum and Bass and has been involved in soundsystem culture for many years, adding his deeper, more spiritual touch to the sound. Hut23 and Breeze worked together in 2024 on a live event and DJ set between Hut23 and Caveman Collective, where Hut23 opened the night with an immersive sound journey on djembe, didgeridoo, flute, percussion and various indigenous instruments with ancestral vocal calls over CMC's traditional rave music, jungle and DnB through a soundsystem. It felt very natural for the jungle music to come together with the spiritual layer that really brought the mix to life, a reminder of what makes us feel human and deeply connected.... This experience inspired Breeze, Nadiyah, and Japa to get in the studio and capture that feeling in this track.

Nadiyah, a musician & reiki practitioner, transitioned into sound healing by sharing vocally guided facilitation at ecstatic dance parties, which are generally sober events where participants reach higher states through dancing to  drums and other older traditional instruments. Nadiyah intuitively developed her own vocal-percussive style, influenced by ancestral calls, and her love of djembe and shakers.

Japa and Nadiyah first connected in the Ubuntu Village Spaceas spaceholders at Medicine Festival in 2023. Subsequently, they were reintroduced by a magical mutual friend who felt they should meet. At that time Hut23 was still very fluid, with Nadiyah as a constant, but the other musicians varying with several drummers, and even Nadiyah's daughter as the initial guitarist.

As fate would have it, the rebirth of Hut23 unknowingly began at a gig where Japa ~ a formidable musician and songstress in their own right ~ witnessed Nadiyah performing with a very last minute substitute guitarist

The rest is history, as they say....

Spiritually, number 23 signifies "rebirth" and has consistently featured in all elements and areas of life for Nadiyah. The Hut signifies the safe space and shelter for healing and love, and for new life to come forth. This resonated with Japa, an Om Chantress and energy worker.

Hut23 has two flowing streams; one bubbles and reverberates in high reaching unifying spaces covered by pink fluffy skies, the other stream runs deep, rippling with ceremonial reverence submering into the star speckled smoky cosmos.  Nadiyah and Japa work through these elements as sound healers using vibrational tools: gongs, bowls, shakers, drums, woodwind, strings, water elements, fire & smoke and many other sensory tools. They sing as conduits to both agitate and heal, raising vibration and spreading positive energy.

The two reflect on how they went to jungle raves when they were younger and experienced so much of the same feelings that they give and receive from their sound healing ceremonies, without needing stimulants to reach a higher state as the music and connection did all of that already.

Hut23 (Nadiyah Japa and Mantis) are proud members of Ubuntu Village, a tribal movement for decolonial activation for all peoples descended of colonial displacement and oppression. Ubuntu means "I am because we are." Hut23 carries this philosophy in all things they do and share.

Japa sees her role as a musician as being a hollow bone, a clear channel of love that brings you into your love. Nadiyah adds that it is about surrendering to being that vessel, and that it is highly aligned for their first recorded release to be: Love Lead. Breeze refers to a wealth of transformative experiences he has had in the rave context in front of a soundsystem, the power of viscerally feeling the bass through your whole body and being connected with people around you, which has inspired him to go and make positive changes in his life. That power, inspiration, and feeling of tapping into something deeper is what he tries to capture in his tracks so that the positive energy can move forward in the world.

Love lead is not just a declaration - it's a request. To ask people who receive the energy from the track to also give it forward.

The constant call and response running through the track reminds ourselves to feel it and connect. The unity and the building of collective building of energy as we declare that we feel it and that we all want it brings us together.

Life is a series of pathways, if Love is the river that calls us, then our response is to follow the river; because all paths head "home" when the heart lets Love Lead the way.
